Ray Ozambela

Ray Ozambela

President

Ray Ozambela joined IWP as Vice President of Sales in 2019 and was promoted to President in 2024. As President, Ray leads the company’s efforts in providing uninterrupted prescription care to injured workers across the country. Prior to joining IWP, Ray served as the Senior VP of Sales & Marketing with Aurora Diagnostics and brings with him 12 years of experience in anatomic pathology and dermatopathology sales. Before starting his career in sales, Ray served as a Marine Officer for 13 years as a Naval Aviator. His time in the service culminated with a 4-year tour as a presidential helicopter pilot. Ray has a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida.

Vice President of Sales

Don is currently the Vice President of Sales. Don joined IWP in 2016 as Director of Regional Sales for the Southeast and has been instrumental in growing IWP.

Don manages the operations and implementation of IWP sales strategies, hiring, and professional development, and led a high-performing team of Territory Managers and Account Managers driving growth and profit.

Prior to joining IWP, Don was Vice President of Sales and Distribution for Latin America and Canada for Lumenis LTD. At Lumenis, he led all aspects of operations P&L and built sustainable business infrastructures and distributor networks. His earlier career includes domestic and international Sales Director positions for Cynosure Inc., Solta Medical Inc., Ellman International, and Medtronic Inc.

Don brings with him over 25 years of sales leadership experience in pharmaceuticals, medical and surgical devices, and pharmacy sales. Don graduated from LaSalle University with a degree in Political Science.

Jenn Holland joined IWP in September 2017 as Enrollment Manager and ascended quickly to her current role. Currently, as the Senior Director of Operations, Jenn leads all the non-clinical functions of the IWP Operations team. Those functions include initial patient intake and patient support involving all aspects of the patient experience. 

Prior to joining IWP, Jenn held leadership roles in the healthcare and health insurance space for over 15 years.  In Jenn’s previous roles she managed call center operations of 60+ agents assisting with health insurance needs, benefits and open enrollment as well as new patients and referral sources involved in insurance related Medicare Set Aside programs.   

Jenn Holds an MBA from Fitchburg State University and a BA from Southern New Hampshire University.

In the realm of workers' compensation, Jackie stands out as a seasoned professional. Serving as the Senior Manager of Pharmacy Operations, Jackie has been an instrumental figure in the field of pharmacy for over 13 years. Her journey with IWP commenced in February 2020, reinforcing the team with her vast experience and insights.  

A proud alumnus of Northeastern University, Jackie is equipped with a Doctor of Pharmacy, PharmD. Her expertise is not just confined to the conventional realms of pharmacy but extends to specialized areas like patient counseling, streamlining pharmacy operations, managing intricate operational challenges, and the mentorship of budding pharmacy interns.  

While her professional achievements are commendable, Jackie's personal interests also paint a vivid picture of her life. A native of the outskirts of Boston, she possesses an unwavering loyalty to the Boston Bruins, often found amidst the roaring crowds during game nights. Away from the professional hustle and the excitement of games, Jackie cherishes the tranquility of the outdoors, often accompanied by her family and their notably large dog, who amusingly outweighs her!

Michael Gavin joined Injured Workers Pharmacy as Chief Executive Officer in 2017. In January 2024, he became the CEO of DWP. As CEO, Michael leads the company’s efforts in providing uninterrupted prescription care to injured workers across the country. Michael has extensive experience in the insurance and medical treatment markets, providing strategic advisory services to hospital boards and medical staff and serving as the Vice President of Operations for a health services pay-for-performance start-up. Most recently, Michael served as the President of PRIUM, a medical peer review firm providing services to payers in the workers’ compensation and auto markets. Michael holds an M.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, as well as a B.S.B.A. degree in Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

Jayne Kresac, Esq.

Jayne Kresac, Esq.

Vice President of Legal, Government Affairs and Communications

As the Vice President of Legal, Government Affairs and Communications, Jayne is General Counsel, handling contract negotiations, providing legal advice to the company and managing outside counsel. She is also responsible for creating DWP’s national legislative strategy as well as monitoring regulations and legislation that affect the DWP community. Jayne drafts and edits external and internal communications and oversees public relations strategies. Prior to joining DWP, she served as executive director of an Arlington, Virginia-based organization where she was responsible for the overall development, management, and administration of the firm’s programs to achieve the policy goals established by its board of directors. She has extensive state and federal legislative experience. Jayne earned her J.D. from Quinnipiac University and holds a B.S. in business from Babson College, and is admitted to the Massachusetts and the District of Columbia Bars.

Steve joined IWP in August 2018 as Controller before being promoted to Sr. Director of Finance and Controller in 2021. In January 2024, he became the CFO of DWP.

Steve has previously served as Global Controller of Software Revenue Recognition with Revvity (f/k/a PerkinElmer), Controller of ViaCord (from Revvity), and Controller at CyberGrants. Steve also held several positions with regional public accounting firms in the New England area. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley University.

Pam joined IWP in 2012 as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. Pam now serves as Chief Operating Officer for Dignity and Wellness Patient Solutions, where she is accountable for ensuring resources are aligned to support the overall strategic direction of the business units. Functional areas include:

  • Clinical operations and oversight to ensure best pharmacy practices to drive superior clinical care to our patients, improve operational efficiencies, and ensure the highest level of regulatory compliance
  • Human Resources inclusive of recruitment, talent development and employee engagement
  • Information technology and information security to protect the enterprise as well as constantly look for new opportunities to enable the business unit’s efficiency and effectiveness
  • Revenue cycle and claims accounts receivables and cash collections management
  • Operational quality assurance to ensure lifecycle management of employee performance
  • Project Management Office (PMO)

Pam brings with her over 30 years’ experience in the workers’ compensation and insurance fields. Throughout her career, she has held diverse leadership roles in client relationship management, operations and underwriting with Sedgwick, Specialty Risk Services and The Hartford. She received a Bachelor of Arts, Management and Master of Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.

Pam joined IWP as the Manager of Pharmacy Operations in 2024, bringing with her over a decade of direct pharmacist experience. She received her degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. 

In her free time, she stays busy with her two boys, juggling their soccer, baseball, and basketball practices and games. She also enjoys spending time at the lake, working out, and running, often accompanied by her dog, Winni.

Julie's expertise in pharmacy, particularly in the domain of pain management, has been instrumental in elevating the standards of patient care in the realm of workers' compensation. Celebrating a decade of profound contributions to the field, Julie joined the IWP team in 2019, where her specialized skills in pain management and patient counseling continue to make a significant difference.  

A proud alumnus of Northeastern University in Boston, Julie's educational journey did not stop after obtaining her PharmD. She further honed her skills by attaining certifications as a Pharmacy Regulatory Specialist and as a Pain Management Specialty Pharmacist, underpinning her commitment to providing the best care for her patients.  

Outside the world of pharmacy, Julie embraces life's pleasures with enthusiasm. Whether it's diving into a good book, exploring new culinary delights in her kitchen, or traveling to unfamiliar destinations, Julie cherishes every moment. Above all, the joys of being with family and friends remain close to her heart, reaffirming her belief in the balance between professional dedication and personal fulfillment.

Renee Caron is a seasoned professional when it comes to workers' compensation. As a Staff Pharmacist, she's been in the pharmaceutical world for almost a decade. She teamed up with IWP back in October 2014 and has been an essential part of the crew ever since. With her degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy under her belt and her commitment to the highest standards, Renee is all about ensuring patients get top-notch care.

With 15 years under her belt as a pharmacist, Rory’s journey has been marked by in-depth experience in Retail Pharmacy and Long Term Care Pharmacy. Her academic foundation is rooted in a PharmD degree from Oregon State University, a testament to her commitment to her field. Rory began contributing her vast knowledge to IWP in 2020, although her broader experience paints a vivid picture of a seasoned professional.  

Away from the world of pharmaceuticals, Rory immerses herself in the joys of family life. With three young children her days are filled with youthful energy and the sound of laughter. Having grown up on the West Coast, Rory, along with her husband, now relishes the charm of New England, exploring its corners and hidden gems. For Rory, every day is both an adventure in pharmacy and a delightful journey with her family.

Tami has carved a niche for herself in the field of workers' compensation with her extensive experience and dedication. As a Staff Pharmacist, she has poured 24 years of relentless service into the pharmacy sector, with 15 of those fruitful years being at IWP. A proud graduate from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Tami holds a respected Bachelor Degree in pharmacy.  

While her professional life is filled with accolades and accomplishments, Tami's personal life is equally vibrant. Away from the confines of her professional realm, Tami cherishes the moments spent with her three children. Whether it's embarking on a new travel adventure or indulging in short day trips fondly termed as "field trips" by her youngest, the joy of exploring new horizons together is unparalleled. Tami also shares a special bond with her furry child, Penny, who finds the utmost joy in snuggles.

With nearly two decades of experience in pharmacy, Danielle has cultivated a reputation for meticulous care and dedication to patient well-being, especially within the sphere of workers' compensation. Having joined the IWP team in 2020, Danielle continues to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.  

A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences - Boston, Danielle holds a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, reflecting her deep understanding of the field. Her seasoned expertise ensures that patients under her care receive the most appropriate and effective treatments for their conditions.  

In her role at IWP, Danielle seamlessly combines her extensive knowledge with compassion, ensuring that the specific needs of injured workers are met with precision and empathy. Her dedication to her profession is evident in her daily interactions and the positive outcomes she consistently achieves for her patients.  

Danielle cherishes her moments with her husband, Barry, indulging in their shared love for cooking and exploring Boston's culinary scene as well as enjoying concerts and Boston sporting events. Beyond personal pastimes, she contributes to the management of Barry's construction company and they both share a passion for design and real estate. International travel, especially to places like Dubai, the Maldives, and Australia, is another of their shared joys. Additionally, Danielle is an avid car and aviation enthusiast and occasionally takes flight lessons in a Piper Aircraft. One of her most memorable lessons was flying with her husband and flight instructor down to Nantucket for breakfast. The couple is also deeply committed to community work, supporting local schools, animal shelters, The International Mesothelioma Program and The Alzheimer's Association as well as supporting The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya.

From Community Pharmacy to Workers' Compensation Advocate, Alyssa is a dynamic Staff Pharmacist at IWP. With 13 years under her belt, Alyssa joined the IWP family in 2023, bringing with her vast expertise from the realm of community pharmacy. A proud alum of the University of Connecticut, she holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy and has continuously worked to ensure that patients in the community receive the best care possible. 

While her dedication to the pharmaceutical world is commendable, Alyssa's passions don't end there. Outside of work, she's a busy mom juggling the lively antics of three children and the playful escapades of a fur baby. A die-hard Boston Bruins fan, she's equally committed to the rink as she is to the pharmacy. Amidst all this, Alyssa still finds time to keep active and enjoys fitting in an exercise routine whenever she can. In Alyssa, we see a brilliant blend of professionalism and personal passion, making her a treasured asset to the workers' compensation community.

Diana is a dedicated Staff Pharmacist at IWP, joining the team in 2022. She proudly carries a decade-long journey in the pharmacy field, having embarked her journey in 2013. Diana obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the renowned Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University in Boston. Further enhancing her expertise in the realm of pain management, she holds a specialized certificate in Managing Opioids.   

While she's been officially practicing pharmacy since 2013, her journey in the pharmacy world began much earlier in 2005. But Diana's adventures go beyond the pharmacy. In her late 20s, she took a leap of faith, moving to Australia and immersing herself in door-to-door sales for an electricity company. These diverse experiences have molded her into a well-rounded professional, adding depth to her patient care approach.   

Outside the confines of her professional life, Diana is a passionate traveler, enthusiastic hiker, and a regular at the gym. Her two canine companions, Nado and Molly, often accompany her in her leisure moments, making her off-duty hours just as fulfilling as her time in the pharmacy.

Meet Frank, a committed Staff Pharmacist with IWP since 2007. With an impressive 41-year tenure in pharmacy, Frank's expertise is unparalleled. A graduate of the Mass College of Pharmacy, he holds a BS in Pharmacy and is markedly specialized as a Cannabis Specialty Pharmacist and holds licenses from 19 different states.  

But Frank’s passion for pharmacy is not just about credentials or years in the game. It's a family tradition. Spanning three generations, from his father's drug store then to Frank and now to his daughter Diana, they've all walked the halls of the same college. As Frank puts it, pharmacy is "kinda in the blood".   

Outside the pharmacy world, Frank is a force to be reckoned with. He volunteers at the Haverhill Downtown Boxing Club as a trainer and manager, still throwing punches in the masters division. His commitment extends to shaping the next generation, mentoring both kids and adults in the ring. In Frank, we see the embodiment of dedication, both to his profession and his community.

Steve has dedicated a decade to the field of pharmacy, with a special focus on pharmacogenomics and holistic care encompassing herbals, natural medicines, and health & nutrition expertise. A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Steve boasts a PharmD degree and is APhA Certified in Pharmacogenomics.   

His commitment to the field extends beyond his direct work as he's also a proud member of APhA, lending his voice and expertise to the broader community of pharmacy professionals.  

Joining IWP in 2023, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and an unyielding passion for patient care. When he isn't navigating the intricacies of pharmacy, Steve finds solace in the outdoors. Whether it's taking leisurely walks with his Bassett Hound/Boxer mix, Baxter, or immersing himself in the world of organic farming in his home garden, Steve's dedication to wellness, both professionally and personally, is evident.

Abby is very excited to join the team at IWP as a staff pharmacist bringing 13 years of pharmacy experience and expertise with her. She received her PharmD from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Boston in 2011. Since then, she has worked in a handful of different practice settings including long term care, hospital pharmacy, and most recently, 11 years in retail pharmacyIt has always been Abby’s desire to accommodate her patients in as personal and yet professional a manner as possible, and she looks forward to continuing to do so at IWP.
