What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.

This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:

• The Chief Financial Officer of Florida ordered the Division of Risk Management to start processing workers' compensation claims for first responders, health care workers, and other essential employees who have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

• In Texas, Governor Greg Abbott has ceased certain provisions of the workers' compensation statute in the state, including required medical exams, work search compliance standards for supplemental income, and all application requirements, testing, and training for designated doctors.

• On a national level, the National Fraternal Order of Police issued an open letter addressed to the Governors of the United States, calling on them to amend the workers' compensation statutes in their states and to establish a presumption stating that law enforcement officers who contract Coronavirus were exposed to it in the line of duty.
