What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- Two bills that would expand workers' compensation coverage for first responders have been pre-filed with the Missouri legislature.
- The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation has released proposed changes to the state's current regulations around prescribing opioids and other medications.
- Similar to California, New York legislature is considering a bill that would create a new employee test to determine an employee's status and their associated benefits.
