What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- A new bill has been filed in the Vermont legislature that would require pharmacies to place a warning label on all prescription bottles that contain opioids.
- Florida is considering joining many states across the country in adopting mandatory ePrescribing for all prescriptions in the state.
- A New Hampshire bill would require providers to notify their patients of the risk of opioids and receive verbal acknowledgement from the patient before dispensing the opioid.
This edition also includes an update from Maryland, Pennsylvania as well as a national update.
