What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- In Missouri, a bill that establishes a statewide PDMP to track controlled substance prescriptions dispensed within the state is on its way to the Governor's desk.
- The North Carolina House passed a bill that would permit law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency dispatchers, and emergency management services personnel to receive workers' compensation benefits for psychological effects with some conditions.
- Nationally, the NCCI released its 2020 State of the Line Report, with findings that reveal a drop in net written premiums and non-COVID claims, among others.
