What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- Voters in California approved prop 22, which grants ride-hail and delivery companies, such as DoorDash, Lyft, and Uber, an exception to the state's new employment law.
- The Kentucky Department of Workers' Compensation has proposed a change to the state's pharmacy fee schedule.
- The legislature in Pennsylvania has finally passed a bill that would allow volunteer firefighters and support staff to receive workers' compensation coverage.
