What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- The California Workers' Compensation Institute found that the use of opioids in lost-time claims has dropped 51% over the last decade.
- The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry proposed new regulations that expands workers' comp coverage for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in first responders.
- Florida Commissioner, David Altmaier, approved a rate reduction of 7.5% for the state's workers' compensation system.
