What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry mentioned its concerns over Governor Wolf's plan to use funds from the Workers' Compensation Security Fund for his small business grant program.
- In Kentucky, Commissioner Swisher reminded insurers that settlements must be paid within three (3) weeks of the administrative law judge's decision.
- A new bill in Nebraska would require prescribers to e-prescribe all controlled substances after January 2022, with exceptions granted to prescribers who send prescriptions to an out-of-state pharmacy.
