What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed a new bill into law that will penalize successor companies for employee misclassification and premium fraud that occurred under their predecessors.
- The Texas Department of Workers' Compensation extended the rule allowing reimbursement for telemedicine services until September 12.
- As the session winds down, the Mississippi legislature is trying to pass a bill that would require electronic prescribing for all controlled substances issued within the state.
