What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- The Arizona Supreme Court awarded workers' compensation benefits for PTSD to a sheriff's deputy who witnessed a death on duty, but stated the ruling wouldn't apply to all mental injuries experienced by law enforcement.
- In Illinois, the Governor extended the COVID presumption for first responders and other essential workers through the end of June.
- Nebraska is currently considering a bill that would mandate the use of electronic prescribing for all controlled substances beginning on January 1, 2022.
This edition also includes updates about Minnesota and New Jersey.
