What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- The Governor of Nebraska signed a new bill into law that would allow correctional officers to be eligible for mental health coverage under workers' compensation.
- Last week, the Colorado Senate held a hearing on a bill that would require the PDMP tracking of all prescription drugs, not just controlled substances.
- The Oregon State Senate passed a bill that would expand the workers' compensation eligibility for firefighters in Portland, who were formerly excluded due to the city having its own disability and retirement systems.
