What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- In Kentucky, the Department of Workers' Claims will hold public hearings on its regulatory proposal regarding unfair settlements.
- The Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner has approved a 9.6% decrease in workers' compensation costs for 2021, making it the 10th consecutive year of rate decreases in the state.
- In California, the push for prop 22, a ballot initiative to keep rideshare drivers as independent contractors, has seen increasing support from both sides.
This edition also includes updates from Florida and Ohio.
