What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.
This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:
- Beginning on October 1, 2020, injured workers in Texas will see an increase in their maximum weekly benefits.
- In New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy signed into law a workers' compensation presumption for essential workers who contract COVID-19.
- With the Virginia legislature getting close to adjourning their special session, bills that are meant to provide workers' comp protections for essential workers seem to be dead in the water.
This edition also includes updates from Kentucky and Ohio.
